Abstract
Welcome to the first issue of the Journal of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. I take pride, with this maiden issue to introduce you to the Journal of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. This journal is a peer-reviewed medical journal that publishes articles in the field of child infectious diseases. I hope the journal will appeal to a wide audience of general pediatricians, specialists in pediatric infectious diseases and other subdivisions of pediatrics such as neonatologists, nephrologists, hematologists etc. and pediatric surgeons, pediatric neurosurgeons and others connected with infectious diseases of children. When new and atypical disorders are being described, their pathophysiological mechanisms are better understood with the advanced diagnostic tools available today. Knowledge of these disorders would help researchers in making management protocols by which child health would improve as a whole. I hope that Journal of Pediatric Infectious Diseases will provide an in-depth update on new subjects, apart from current and comprehensive coverage of the latest techniques in diagnosis and treatment of childhood infectious diseases.
