Abstract

This paper proposes a new control method for a grid-connected inverter with a small LCL filter without damping in case of an inverter side current is controlled. In the current control mode, there is the tradeoff between system stability and minimizing LCL filter. Therefore, to comply with IEEE 519 harmonic standard with minimizing LCL filter size is a big challenge. This paper describes how to control the inverter side current in an unstable region without any damping method. The validity of the proposed method is verified through simulation.
