Abstract
A new integrable equation is obtained as the dispersionless limit of the BKP equation. It is then studied in the framework of Kodama's approach (1988). The new equation also turns out to be completely integrable with an infinite number of conservation laws. The hodograph transformation method is applied to obtain exact solutions in various cases.
