Abstract

This paper presents a new technique on image encryption using simple chaotic number approach. This encryption consists of two phases, i.e. 1) image confusion and 2) diffusion stage. The confusion process simply relocates the image pixels, whereas the diffusion process converts the value of image pixels to further improve the security level of encrypted image. These two processes exploit the simple chaotic number which gives a good bifurcation behavior. As documented in the experimental results, the proposed image encryption outperforms the former existing image encryption schemes. In addition, the proposed method does not involve high computation burden on image encryption process.
