Abstract

This paper presents a new image encryption algorithm, which uses an image sort transformation to shuffle the positions of image pixels, and then the states of hyper-chaos are used to change the grey values of the shuffled image according to the changed distances of each pixel during the process of shuffled. The experimental results demonstrate that the suggested encryption algorithm of image has the advantages of large key space and high security, and moreover, the distribution of grey values of the encryption image has a random-like behavior. Compared with some encryption algorithms, the encryption algorithm is more secure.
