Abstract
A new isospectral problem and the corresponding hierarchy of nonlinear evolution equations are proposed. Under a constraint between the potentials and the eigenfunctions, the Lax system associated with the hierarchy of evolution equations is nonlinearized to be a hierarchy of finite-dimensional completely integrable systems in the Liouville sense.
