Abstract

Grey incidence analysis is an important part of grey system theory and is the basis of grey decision-making and grey cluster. At present, for sequences of interval numbers, most degrees of grey incidence of interval numbers are constructed by the distance of interval numbers defined by authors. However results of different degrees of grey incidence defined by the distance of interval numbers are often not the same. In order to overcome this shortcoming,a new degree of grey incidence of interval numbers is constructed in the paper by area between the top zigzagged line of sequences of interval numbers and the bottom zigzagged line of sequences of interval numbers. Meanwhile, some properties of the new degree of incidence are proved. On the basis of the new degree of incidence,a grey incidence model is established to solve the problems of multi-attribute decision-making of interval numbers. A real example in the last shows that the model has good application to multi-attribute interval decision-making and that the calculation of the degree of grey incidence is simple.
