Abstract

A structure of an oscillator and its frequency control method are proposed and applied to a sensory system. The structure of the oscillator has two feedback loops, one of which is modulated by a physical value to be measured. The oscillation frequency can be modulated by the amplitude or the phase of the feedback signal. Then this system is a frequency modulation (FM)-type measuring system. The proposed oscillator, whose frequency is controlled by the amplitude of the feedback signal, is applied to a fibre optic snowfall-weight remote sensing system. >
