Abstract

In this paper, a new fractional-order control method is presented for synchronization between two fractional-order permanent magnet synchronous motors (FO-PMSMs) in the presence of uncertainties and external disturbances. The whole synchronization error dynamic is divided into first-order and second-order subsystems. The proposed new fractional-order control strategy is designed for controlling both of the first-order and second-order subsystems. Based on fractional-order Lyapunov stability theory, the robust stability and convergence of synchronization errors to zero is proved. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated via the numerical simulation results. Furthermore, the synchronization error performance of the presented method is compared with the some other researchers' works to show the superiority of the proposed fractional-order controllers.
