Abstract
Eukiefferiella changbaiensis sp. n. is described from the Changbai Mountains, Northeast China. Male and female imagines were found swarming in a snowy environment above 2000 m altitude. The presence of the wing vein R2+3 and only one tibial spur on the mid and hind legs in both sexes, and tergite IX in the female divided into two setigerous protrutions, shows that the species belongs in the E. devonica group. The male is easily separated from the previously known species of the whole genus in having a bilobed inferior volsella and by the shape of the gonostylus. The female may be separated from other known females in the group by a very small sternal floor and a rather small and pointed gonocoxite IX.
