Abstract

A stretched-coordinate (SC) based perfectly matched layer (PML) is presented for the weighted Laguerre polynomial finite-difference time-domain (WLP-FDTD) method. Compared to the split-field PML, the new SC-PML is easy to combine with a complex-frequency-shifted (CFS) factor to improve the PML efficiency. The proposed SC-PML is also background material independent. Numerical examples show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
