Abstract
Smart Grid is an evolutionary system that addresses the problems of the traditional power grid. The deployment of wireless sensors network enhances the Smart Grid aspects. However, it is facing many challenges, particularly the security. Tremendous effort is done to provide solutions dealing with security in Smart Grid environment. In this paper, we conduct a comprehensive review of the existing security approaches in Smart Grid environments in order to investigate their efficiency in meeting the security requirements and coping with different attacks. Then, we propose a new distributed Public Key Infrastructure for wireless sensors network-Based Application in Smart Grid that aims to cope with the single point of failure risk in traditional Public Key Infrastructure and provides many security services.
