Abstract
In the year of the sixtieth anniversary of the Great October Revolution [1977], we should like to look once more at one of the most notable and vivid pages in the annals of the children's communist movement in Estonia. Reference is made to the 1940-41 school year — the first year after the restoration of Soviet power, the year in which the mass communist children's organization — the V. I. Lenin Young Pioneer Organization —was formed in Estonia.
