Introduction

SOft robot, a new concept relative to hard robot, means a robot can have elastic deformation when contacting with environments; it will be safe when interacting with human beings. Hard robot, generally made up of iron or alloy and driven by motors,[1,2,3,4] is regarded prone to hurt people when being out of control. Due to the intrinsic safety of soft robot, it has become a hot topic in robotics research and several attempts have been made to make a robot soft.
