A New Decision Model Based on Entropy for Supplier Selection of Telecom Industry

Abstract

A scientific and rational method for supplier selection is one of the most important parts in supply chain management. In this paper, a new model based on entropy technology is presented and applied in China telecom industry. First, this paper establishes an index system of supplier selection for telecom operators. Then, a multiple criteria decision-making model is given by using entropy techniques. Finally, this model is applied in telecomm industry. The result shows that this method is very effective for telecomm operator's equipment supplier selection.
