Abstract

In this paper a novel current control method for three-phase four-wire shunt active power filters is proposed. The method combines space vector modulation (SVM) with hysteresis current control (HCC) techniques in the /spl alpha//spl beta/0 coordinate system. Two sets of hysteresis comparators determine how to select appropriate switching vectors. By the set with wider hysteresis band, the location region of the reference voltage vector on /spl alpha//spl beta/ plane is detected. Computer simulation results show that compensative performance of the active power filter is improved.
