Abstract

A simple correlation for accurate predictions of natural gas critical mass flow has been developed. The correlation covers the pressure range 1–180 bar and temperatures from 280–340 K. It is based on data obtained by comprehensive computations using the AGA-8 state equation and Aly-Lee's specific heat equation. The average deviation between the correlation and the basic data is 0.2%.
