Abstract

The criterion of dry-out is formulated as a limit of mist flow in upstream approach namely in this way, that at the place of dry-out the mass flux of droplets is so great that they cover occasionally the whole section of the wall. Based on such an assumption the theory is established, and the results compared with experimental data for water flowing in vertical round tubes.
