Abstract

The path-loss estimation is a very important step in wireless communication systems design and analysis. When the signals propagate over irregular terrain, the methods for path-loss calculation must deal with diffraction on the terrain obstructions and, due to the complexity of the majority of the methods, is desirable to use simpler and easier propagation models, but there's a trade off between accuracy and simplicity. So, this paper shows a correction designed to improve Bullington's method accuracy without increasing its complexity.
