Abstract

A new chaos based image encryption algorithm is proposed in this paper. In the algorithm, the plain image is first mixed with a keystream matrix, and encrypted by row and column transformation, and then permuted by Cat map, after several rounds of these operation, the cipher image is obtained finally by mixing the image with another keystream matrix. Experimental results and analysis show that the cipher image of this algorithm possesses good statistic characteristics, and the encryption possesses high security.
