Abstract

Chaetomium floriforme sp. nov., isolated from unidentified fallen leaves collected in the north of Thailand, is described and illustrated. The fungus is distinguished by its typical obovate ascomata with articular ascomatal hairs, broadly limoniform ascospores with an apical or subapical germ pore, a Humicola anamorph and its growth temperature response.
