Abstract
The carotenoid composition of the myxobacterium Chondromyces apiculatus is reported. A new acyclic carotenoid glucoside ester was isolated and its structure determined as 1′-glucosyloxy-3′,4′-didehydro-1′,2′-dihydro-ψ,ψ-carotene monoester.
