Abstract

This work is focused on the improvement of the calibration technique in order to obtain a well-conditioned transfer matrix in a Pulsed Electro-Acoustic -PEA- cell. A numerical electro-acoustic model has been developed with software Comsol. Using this model, we can establish the output voltage of the piezoelectric sensor and acoustic pressure at each point of the calculation domain. Our approach consists to recover charge distribution within the sample using deconvolution method and transfer matrix obtained with the new calibration technique. This new method has been tested with theoretical and experimental signals. The main conclusion is that an improvement of the spatial resolution is demonstrated, compared to the standard method usually used.
