Abstract
Abstract The Model 8000 System is a high throughput, automatic TLD reader for personnel monitoring. This menu driven system is capable of reading stacked cards or holders and generates up to 4 simultaneous glow curves from a multiple-element badge. It displays these curves in colour graphics, and transmits the data for further processing. Experimental results on randomness of the system 'zero', the overall precision and the response to beta rays and neutrons are presented. Multiple dosemeter elements, when combined with different filter media, make it possible to determine mixed field dose.
