Abstract
A reevaluation of the Fe-N system has been made using a new assessment of the properties of pure iron. The stability of the hcp Fe is thereby fixed which was not the case in previous evaluations. The reevaluation also gave the opportunity of considering some recent experimental data. The work was successful and a set of parameters describing the Gibbs energy of each phase has been calculated.
