Abstract

Objectives A new arrangement data collection method based on graphic analysis is adopted to realize automatic collection of layout data for naval general arrangement. Methods In view of the inherent defects of drawings, a complete cabin boundary recognition algorithm is proposed to achieve accurate cabin boundary information. The efficient matching between cabin attributes and cabin boundaries is realized by using the serial number of cabin and point. The efficient automatic modeling of 3D cabin is realized by hierarchical Boolean operation technology. Results This method, which reduces the work of general arrangement in 3D tank modeling, cabin data analysis and unsinkable raw data consolidation, as well as improve the design efficiency, is reliable and feasible. Conclusions Automatic modeling from 2D layout to 3D cabin is solved based on the above technology. A arrangement information collection software is developed and tested. The test result verifies the feasibility and applicable effect of this method well.
