Abstract

An algorithm based on Galerkin's finite element method is used to calculate the induction heating of a slab, taking into account field-dependence of its magnetic permeability and the temperature-dependent properties of its electric and thermal conductivities. The calculations address some important features of high-frequency induction heating such as the frequency of the oscillator and the equivalent resistance and inductance. The results are reasonable. >
