Abstract
How to get the rapid and stable inversion results and the clear geological interfaces is a focus problem in current Magnetotelluric (MT) inversion. Constable et al (1987,1990) provided the OCCAM as a smoothing inversion, and the focusing inversion which is based on the minimum gradient support functional provided by Portniaguine, O. and Zhdanov, M. S.(1999,2002,2004). We integrate the ideas of smoothing inversion and Focusing inversion to construct a new objective function for inversion. Meanwhile, We introduce a diagonal gradient support into the objective functional to enhance oblique geo‐electrical interface.
