Abstract
The conventional methods of the DC network modelling in the existing AC load flow program need structural changes in the AC part. As a result, in the case of an advanced AC program this combination becomes a difficult and complex programming effort.This paper presents a new and practical approach for solving the AC-DC load flow problem, whose DC system can be a multiterminal DC network. The presented approach just models the converters and it uses the AC load flow to solve other parts of DC network with a simple transformation.
