Abstract
This paper describes a new approach to estimate rotor angle of two-phase induction machine from measured terminal voltages and currents using virtual high frequency injection method for sensorless vector control. The proposed scheme is independent from load variation since the rotor angle is derived by using only the injected d, q axis voltage component. The difference between the classical high frequency injection method and the novel virtual one is in injection voltage to the mathematical model of the machine not to the stator of the machine. The mathematical principle of the proposed technique and its implementation are presented. Computer simulations and experimental results are also included for verification
