Abstract

The elastic K +p scattering data are analysed with the help of K ±p derivative forward dispersion relations. A unique solution is obtained. From this solution the K +p s wave scattering length and effective range are found to be respectively a s = −0.32 ± 0.01 fm, r s = 0.31 ± 0.15 fm . A consequence of this analysis is that the K ±p dispersion relation prediction for the strange particle coupling constants is somewhat increased.
