Abstract

Low RCS aerial targets are capable of exhibiting on-the-fly behaviours like hovering, flapping, gliding etc. These types of motions are significant and need to be detected and measured in defence aspect. In this work we are using a ST100 radar system working in K-band to address the low intensity high speed motions associated with the low RCS targets. We are raising a novel technique based on some image processing algorithms, to automatically measure the target activities belonging to the mentioned category. And the technique developed is validated using five different target signatures collected using ST100.
