Abstract

The addition curing polymer (CN-PcP) containing [2.2]paracyclophane and phthalonitrile was prepared. The results indicated that carbon radical resulting from [2.2]paracyclophane at high temperature could effectively promote the curing reaction of phthalonitrile. The curing behaviors of CN-PcP were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and rheological analysis. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) revealed that the cured resin of CN-PcP showed high glass transition temperature and outstanding thermal properties.
