Abstract
Extensive testing has recently been completed on a new 3 MV tandem accelerator system. A wide range of ion beam species with masses ranging from that of protons through gold have been accelerated. Beam energies as high as 39 MeV have been observed. Low energy beam testing has been carried out at 600 keV with the same mass range. This 3 MV tandem is the Model 9SDH-2 which is an extention of the economical S-Series Pelletron Systems. The configurations which are being manufactured will be discussed along with details of actual performance.
