Abstract

After an uncomplicated pregnancy and parturition, a male neonate was born with a scrotal abnormality. On physical examination, a skin bulge was noted at the left side of the scrotum, sized about 2 by 2 cm. Both testicles were descended, and the bulge had no palpable content. The genitals, perineum, and anus were normal. The scrotal raphe was located normally. An accessory scrotum was diagnosed. It is important to pay attention to other urogenital anomalies, as well as to think of a possible VACTERL association. A solitary abnormality is harmless.
