Abstract

Despite improved coverage in HIV testing and treatment for children living with HIV globally, major gaps between countries remain and hinder attainment of global targets. In The Lancet HIV, Chloe Teasdale and colleagues1 report an analysis of data from the Population-based HIV Impact Assessment surveys from 2015 to 2017 and estimate the proportion of undiagnosed children living with HIV in seven African countries (Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe).
