Abstract

The aim of this article is to present nursing professionals with clinical practice processes-aligned with current literature- that educators and nursing leaders at one institution have used to ensure that nurses are proficient with emergency response skills. The comprehensive overview of a combination of efforts to ensure nurses' proficiency with emergency response skills for a pediatric patient in cardiopulmonary arrest provide a logical context to narratively discuss present day literature on the topic.
