Abstract

A.N. Savenkov’s peer-reviewed monograph “Nuremberg: A Verdict for name of Peace” analyzes the fundamental array of Russian and foreign sources, conducts an in-depth study of the historical prerequisites of the Second World War, reviews the peace treaties that formed the world order of the beginning of the century and largely predetermined future events. The author analyzes the legal foundations and concepts of the Nuremberg Trials both in the context of the ongoing global political and legal processes, and from the perspective of the formation of the principles of International Law. The work most fully presents the understanding of the Nuremberg Tribunal from the point of view of a formal legal assessment of its nature, as well as the impact of its verdict on the development of International Law.
