Abstract

Day by day, the off-line healthcare system transforms into the remote on-line healthcare system. The hospitals, pharmacist, patient and healthcare professionals rapidly using online healthcare system. New emerging on-line healthcare system faced many security issues and challenges. Due to such issues, healthcare data and services become more vulnerable. The trustworthiness of the healthcare services is a critical issue that creates the barrier for wide adoption of the healthcare services. To solve both of the problems, we need a hybrid solution that not only provide the security in the healthcare system, but also provide the trustworthy healthcare services. Hence, in this paper, we propose a mutual trust based access control model which, protects the healthcare services and data from the unauthorized access and provide the trustworthy healthcare services. The access of the healthcare services and data is based on the trust degree of the requested user. This access control model will ensure that only trusted and authorized user can access the trusted healthcare services. The detail presentation of the work proof that the proposed access control model resolve the access control and trust issues in the healthcare system.
