Abstract
In this paper, a multivariate monitoring method based on dual control chart (DCC) is proposed. The contributions are as follows: First, deviance variables are explored to reveal the fault information of each variable; second, two statistics are generated by the deviance variables; third, thresholds of two statistics are presented; and fourth, DCC is used by the proposed method. The proposed method is applied to the fault detection of the Tennessee Eastman process (TE process). The monitoring results show the effectiveness of the proposed method, compared with the traditional principal component analysis.
