Abstract

This paper describes the application of the “multimodal” therapy model to the treatment of children in a child care agency. The model has been adapted to facilitate the team approach to individual assessment and therapy, integrating the work of child care staff, social service personnel, psychiatrists, psychologists, teachers, and others. The approach requires modifying the child's environment, as well as defining specific behavioral, affective, sensory, imagery, cognitive, interpersonal and drug related problems. A comprehensive and systemmatic treatment plan is thereby effected.
