Abstract

We have proposed a rectangular aperture horn antenna with low crossed polarization and orthogonal polarization which has the same beam shape. This paper reports on a structure that controls modes independently for each polarization in order to shorten the axial length of rectangular-aperture horn antenna with multi-grooves. The optimization of the structure has been performed to obtain a specified -10 dB beam widths. The axial length of the proposed antenna is about one-half the length of the previously developed horn.
