Abstract

In this work, a multifunctional fluorescent probe TZ-DPA based on octupolar conjugated merocyanine dyes for the detection of Cu2+ and NO2− in aquaculture water and food samples was developed. TZ-DPA showed good sensitivity and selectivity for Cu2+ and NO2− in different methods, and had lower detection limit (LODFL = 84 μM、155 μM). The experiments of test strips prepared from TZ-DPA showed that the probe could be used to develop a portable tool to selectively identify Cu2+ and NO2− by naked eyes, and achieved rapid, semiquantitative and qualitative measurement of Cu2+ and NO2− in aquaculture water and food samples.
