Abstract

Unemployment rate is an important indicator to measure the operation of market economy and social and economic development, which will fluctuate due to the impact of the crisis, so it is one of the goals of macroeconomic regulation and control of governments. Unemployment has a variety of personal, social and economic consequences. Since the beginning of 2020, the economic state and job market of Canada and even the whole world have been severely impacted by the impact of COVID-19. This paper will forecast and analyze the trend of Canadian unemployment rate in the next ten years by using ARIMA model based on the data of the World Bank, and compare the trend of Canadian unemployment rate among people with different education levels. The ARIMA model is also used to analyze and forecast trends over the next ten years, providing some reference for the development direction of stakeholders in the labor market.
