Abstract
This paper describes a multi-core algorithm for the Obreshkov Formula based high-order A-stable and L-stable numerical methods targeting transient simulation of interconnect and highs-speed circuits. The goal of the proposed algorithm is to efficiently simulate those circuits that arise from full-wave modeling of distributed passive structures such as transmission-lines, microstrip elements, and high-speed interconnects circuits. We show that the special mathematical formulation of these circuits enables decoupling of the matrix, whose factorization is required by the high-order method, into several matrices with smaller size that can be factorized in parallel on multi-core architectures efficiently.
