Abstract
(Int J Obstet Anesth. 2022;52:103598) Restrictive food policies during labor were originally established to decrease the risk of pulmonary aspiration. Over time, the need for restricting food has been questioned and guidelines currently vary between centers. This multicenter national survey was conducted to determine current practices and opinions by obstetric providers concerning maternal oral intake in labor and delivery units.
