Abstract

An Auxiliary Controller utilizing both single chip and bipolar microprocessor technologies and the newly established concepts in distributed control for CAMAC systems, has been developed at the Daresbury Laboratory. Two to three Auxiliary Controllers per CAMAC Crate will perform fast data acquisition and "front-end" preprocessing for physics experiments at facilities now in construction at the Laboratory.
