Abstract

In order to absorb the multi-directional vibration energy at the same resonance frequency, a novel multi-direction piezoelectric VEH is experimentally and theoretically investigated based on circular arc structure. The output voltage model and the output power model are established. Four different structures of this multi-direction piezoelectric VEH are designed and measured. The measured maximum output voltage of the four structures are 23.93 V, 26.54 V, 21.86 V and 24.91 V for structure A, structure B, structure C and structure D, respectively. The measured results show that it is relatively consistent with the theoretical results. The measured maximum output power of the four structures are 6.57 mW, 8.30 mW, 5.89 mW and 7.46 mW, respectively. The measurement results show that structure B is an optimal structure with the highest output voltage and the highest output power. This circular arc piezoelectric VEH has a good reference value for the multi-direction energy harvester in future.
