Abstract

Integrating women in the Brazilian labor market is a result of a woman's transition process in the social, political and economic. The advance them in the labor market shows itself present in all sectors of activity over the years. The ghettos compress male with female offensive. Thus, the purpose of this article is to analyze women's participation in the Brazilian civil construction labor market and the socioeconomic profile of working women. The data are from Cancels List of Social Information - RAIS the Ministry of Labor and Employment - MTE and include the time frame between 2006 and 2012. The results show the advancement of female participation in the formal labor market of the Brazilian civil construction, with higher than male occupational rate of growth in all sectors of construction in the years in question. In terms of demographic and socioeconomic characteristics, it can be observed concentration of employed women aged 30-30 years in establishments micro sized and education between high school and higher education. Moreover, there have markedly higher participation of women leaving their jobs in less than a year, in addition to the high concentration of busy earning income by up to 1 minimum wage.
