Abstract

In a Delphi study published in the current issue of the European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, a set of patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) has been recommended for use in research on intermittent claudication due to peripheral arterial disease (PAD).1 PROMs are used to assess an individual’s health status or health related quality of life and are usually collected through short, self completed questionnaires.2 PROM tools are classified as generic or condition specific and can be used to inform clinical care and health policies.
